10% of the selling price from each mug will to the WE LOVE STOKE Fund, a charity for Stoke-on-Trent, the birthplace of quintessential English fine china. Stoke has one of the highest unemployment rates in the UK due to ceramic factory closures, unable to compete with cheaper manufacturers overseas. Ironically, much of the official commemorative ceramics for the Royal Wedding is not being made in the UK, as there are so few factories left to handle the expected volume.
